Last week the email never went through for my family, and I am using my iPad today.
Well, on Monday, we got to have a good theological debate with an 8 year old. He is probably one of our favorite people to teach. He has already gotten baptized, but we go over there to make sure his family keeps coming to church and all that good stuff. We were talking about the 10 commandments, and at the end of the lesson we asked if he had any questions. He looked at us seriously as said,"Yes, as a matter of fact I do." Then we spent a while defining faith, talking about why God lets wicked people live, and listening to his theory about how God was created. It was some pretty deep stuff. We wanted to take him to our district meeting so bad!
After our district meeting on Tuesday morning, we learned an important
lesson: following other missionaries in cars while trying to get to Wendy's leads to getting pulled over by the police. Luckily, we weren't the last car in our little caravan, so we were fine. The ones that did get pulled over were let off the hook, and we all laughed about it later.
On Wednesday, I went back to my old area with my old companion, Hermana Hartley. That was pretty fun and strange. It was great to be back and visit with the people I used to teach. The strange thing about going back to an old area is that you can feel that you don't belong there anymore. It doesn't call to you anymore. The magic is gone in a way. But it was a good experience. Just another witness that in life, you can never go back. Always forward.
On Sunday, one of our investigators brought three of her daughters to church, and two were there for the first time! We were super happy to find out that they know some of the young women in the ward from going to the same school. Hopefully everyone had a good experience and we can keep teaching them.
Well, that's about it. I realized yesterday that I know all of the stuff I teach is true. We were trying to hook up some people, and I had a huge feeling of doubt like," What if we are wrong? What if it wouldn't go over well? Who are we to say what people are missing in their lives?" Then I realized how confident I am about the rest of the things we do. Kind of funny.
Have a good week!
Love,
Hermana Pace
