I dream in Spanglish.
I guess I shouldn't really be surprised. Hermana Watts is the most Spanglish companion I have ever had. Pure Spanish when we are speaking to Spanish speakers, but a crazy mezcla (mix) all the rest of the time. It makes me laugh a lot. One time she made me translate what she was trying to say to the English missionaries because she couldn't come up with the words in English.
We have done a lot of service this week. Help a pregnant lady move into her new house, tried to clean the house of another lady who is in the hospital, installed fire alarms for the Red Cross. That last one was funny. We teamed up with other people from the community to help install and test fire alarms for elderly citizens, as well as educate them about fire safety. We rode in the car with two other girls who were on our team. It was funny how natural it felt for us to stand on strangers' porches, while they seemed kind of out of place. We gave a bit of a missionary flair to it. "We would invite you to not smoke in bed or leave candles burning when you leave the house." Haha
We had some good lessons (and some less good ones with talkative drunk guys). I love when members tell us that they have friends they want us to meet. We feel so special and excited and happy.
I don't know that I will have time to write much more. We are going to play ultimate frisbee in the park. We found a park last Monday.
Finding pretty parts of Dallas is sometimes a bit hard.
Well, life is good. I love you guys. See you in about 3 1/2 months!
Love,
Hermana Pace
