We have had a pretty good week over all. We finally were able to find some people that we have been looking for. We accidentally got into a Bible Bashing lesson, but the problem is that one of them is studying theology could have ripped us up. We don't work trying to convince people of anything. All we really try to do is convince them to pray and continue in their own spiritual growth and learning. But they were fairly nice and everything.
I don't remember if I already mentioned this as well (because it might have happened two weeks ago), but we were told in a Laundromat that we believe a lie, we have not truly found and accepted Christ, and we "look like [you] feel empty". This lady also told us "See that guy over there? If he hasn't accepted Christ, he is a child of the devil." That was the first time I have ever heard that concept. I don't agree with it. Not one of our best conversations of the day. So we laughed about it and moved on.
We did have some good lessons this week. Saturday was just a nice looking day, so we knocked a street and had a good time. One of our favorite things is when people like us. That might sound self-centered or something like that, but really it is great. We learned that the grandmother of a family we are teaching doesn't actually live with them. She makes sure to be here every time that we have a lesson, then has her kids drive her 30-40 minutes back home. And sometimes members just tell us that they are praying for us to find people to teach, which is a little bit strange to hear directly from them, but it is pretty sweet.
We have some more things to do today, so that's about all I have time to write. Keep going, even when things are hard. Faith in Christ is a pretty firm foundation, but it takes time and consistent effort to build your life upon it.
Have a great week! Happy Birthday Rachael!
Love,
Hermana Pace
