Thanks for supporting my writing. I am glad you enjoy my emails. I won't be writing a real group email this week because I am getting transferred.
Things have been good this week. We had some good lessons, people are progressing, and I saw some of my converts from D9 at stake conference. It was good to see people one last time before I am out of here.
Our investigator had a baby. We saw her on Monday night. We stood there and just stared and her and said "Wow, que bonita!" for about two full minutes. It was magical.
We met and old black lady who called us her angels. That was really sweet. We actually met her while we were contacting after our first dinner and waiting for our second dinner. We have been eating too much this week. After 15 months in the mission, I finally started gaining weight this week. Ridiculous.
We also met some great new people who were pretty interested. I am sad that I won't be around to teach them. One of them has been struggling with a wayward child, so we told her to read the story of Alma the Younger in the Book of Mormon. I hope she likes it.
We had a good time in our zone service project putting labels on candy to give to prisoners. We were all there with a bunch of other Salvation Army volunteers. There was even a Salvation Army band playing Christmas songs in the background. It was pretty chill until they played Feliz Navidad. With all of the Hispanics there, and the Spanish missionaries, the place went crazy. Everyone was instantly dancing and singing and having a ton of fun. It was hilarious.
Well, as I said when I left Plano, "The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." I don't feel ready to leave, pero alli vamos.
Have a good week!
Love,
Hermana Pace
